I worked harder, accumulated all the stuff, and built a mountain of stress-inducing obligation around myself.
It felt like I was living outside of who I was meant to be, just to keep up with people who weren't good for me.
This lifestyle brought all the unhealthy aspects of my ego front and center.
15 years ago it all came crashing down into a failed marriage, shackles of debt, and a short bout with depression that almost cost me my life.
I needed that exact moment. Make a choice. Live or die.
